Default Resizing Type?

I want to design a website for my wife in DW CS6.

I want to have the text block to remain the same size as the image on the right and I don't know how to do that in DW. I have done a Google search and and YouTube search and the only answer I've found is...use Wordpress.

Well, that's not my goal, I don't want to learn a new program.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Thanks,
David

Default Resizing type

I tried the blockquote & class idea and had no success.

I've never used fittext.js before and find GitHub very hard to use and understand.

I'm going to read it a few more time but any hints or tips you can offer would be appreciated. Can you help?

I've download the .js file; where exactly do I need to place it in the code?

is this not what you want?
Code:
<!doctype html>
<html>
<head>
<meta charset="utf-8">
<title>Untitled Document</title>
<style>
.text{ float:left;;display:inline-block ; background:#999; width:350px; height:249px;}
</style>
</head>
<body>
<div class="text">
<p>awdfqaswfqawfqaswfqaswdrf </p></div>
<img src="http://www.concord-bali-villas.com/images/melati/1.jpg" width:"350px" ; height="249px">
</body>
</html>

Default Resizing Type?

Close, but "no joy" I think.

What I want to do looks exactly like that (that part I can do) on say a 1600x900 monitor. But when you look at it on a 1024x768 monitor (or anything smaller) the picture gets smaller & the type (font size) gets smaller at the same rate.

Right now I know how to make the picture smaller but the type just "flows" down the page (type- box becomes taller).

Does this make sense? I wish I could visually explain it better but I don't know how.

ok i see.
fist you can use max-height max-width)to add some control to the div sise.
as for type resize using css you can try viewport sized typography (css3 not sure of all browser support but pretty good i think

Thanks!

I'll try that on Wednesday. Tied up in meetings tomorrow.

If this doesn't work I'll change my design while I continue pursuing this.

Default Sweet success reszing type

The Viewport Sized Typography is EXACTLY what I wanted!!!

Thanks again for your help. Don't know how you know/find these answers that are "strange" but I'm very thankful you do!

visited Fiji, once in 1982. It was your Sunday (or something) and the airport was closed. My Pan Am flight was running low on fuel so it landed there and it took 3 Pan Am BIG WIGS 3 hours to get a 1000lbs. of fuel in the plane. Short story is we (the passengers) saw none of your beautiful island except during takeoff & landing. Our loss.

Thanks again for not giving up on me!
