Default fluid grid layout help

Im not sure if this is the right section to post this.

I just need to convert my old html page to fluid grid. gandiva.com.ph homepage, working on the conversion gandiva.com.ph\sample.html

1st, the header seems to be working
2nd, the horizontal menu needs fixing for android screens as its too long.
3rd, the flash i converted to a jquery image fade in/out
4th, there is an arrow image div below the jquery that seems to go under the jquery which im now resolving need help here

Testing the page on a big screen, everything seems to be on the left, the menu bar is long and the image jquery has images 950px x 378px

Any advise, how to make my old page same as the sample page. To start with, i know its too simple to do but i cant basically absorb the information how to do it. i just need a little direction and i can follow thru to understand fluid grid.

Thanks in advance.

personally i would use a unorderd list for the menu items
then on full site, make the
li width whatever, and in the media queries for smaller screens make the li 50 % to show two ata time in the menu or 100% to stack accordingly
