Default problem with "draw APdiv"

Hi,
I wish to add some text and an image to a page on my site corrently under construction. At the moment i have the background "fixed" and the header and nav "floating", so will scroll and always remain in the center of the screen regardless of the the browser size.
When I try and float the new content (text and image) inside the APdiv box and alter the rule to move with the header etc it will keep centered but reposition itself above the header image.
I hope I'm making sense
How can I keep it in the correct position ? Which is the center of the page.
