Default Gap between tables

I'm following a tutorial on creating an ebay template from 1stoptutorials but I'm getting a gap between my tables and I have no idea how to get rid of it?
please help

<!doctype html>
<html>
<head>
<meta charset="utf-8">
<title>Untitled Document</title>
</style>
<style type="text/css">
body {
background-color: #DE3E3E;
}
</style>
</head>

<body>
<table width="750" border="0" align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0">
<tr>
<td><img src="Images/banner.jpg" width="750" height="150" alt=""/></td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td>
<br />
<table width="720" border="0" align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0">
<tr>
<td colspan="5"><img src="Images/topbanner_720x46.jpg" width="720" height="46"
alt=""/></td>
<tr>
<td width="16" bgcolor="#FFFFFF">&nbsp;</td>
<td width="344" bgcolor="#FFFFFF"> <p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p></td>
<td width="9" bgcolor="#FFFFFF">&nbsp;</td>
<td width="339" bgcolor="#FFFFFF">&nbsp;</td>
<td width="16" bgcolor="#FFFFFF">&nbsp;</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td colspan="5"><img src="Images/Bottombanner_720x46.jpg" width="720" height="46" alt=""/></td>
</tr>
</table></td>
</tr>
</table>
<table width="720" border="0" align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0">
<tr>
<td>&nbsp;</td>
<td>&nbsp;</td>
<td>&nbsp;</td>
<td>&nbsp;</td>
<td>&nbsp;</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td>&nbsp;</td>
<td>&nbsp;</td>
<td>&nbsp;</td>
<td>&nbsp;</td>
<td>&nbsp;</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td>&nbsp;</td>
<td>&nbsp;</td>
<td>&nbsp;</td>
<td>&nbsp;</td>
<td>&nbsp;</td>
</tr>
</table>
</body>
</html>

Try this css.

Code:
table {
  border-collapse: collapse;
  border-spacing: 0;
}

Looking at 1stoptutorials their tutorials look really out of date and not teaching best practice.

Might be ok for this eBay template.

For anything else I'd use a modern service such as Lynda or Code School or Tree House.
