Default Paragraph spacing looks wrong in Firefox

Looking at my website across chrome, safari, internet explorer are all fine except Firefox that makes my paragraphs look more spread out. Looking at my code I have added
to break up my text to make it more neat. Fire fox had seen these as adding more space between the lines! What could I use instead of
to carry the next word onto the next paragraph without adding space?
