Default css question, How to set id css?

<div class="menu">
<ul id=nicemenu">
<li class=nicemenu2">
<a id="blue">News</a>
</li>
</ul>

How to set css for id "blue" here?
How about the below script? is that correct?

ul.nice-menu li a #blue{
font-size:17px;
}

mampwamp2, when you can differentiate between CSS classes and ID's, this becomes really easy
