Default a highlighted active sprymenu item?!

Hello,

what I want to do, is a horizontal menubar with following funvctions:

1. no submenus (no problem)
2. rollover effect (no problem)
3. highlighted selected menu item (I tried it, but I was not able to realise this)
4. compatible with established browsers (I tried it not yet, but this will be important for me)

The menubar should be similar to www.apple.com. (I dont need any 3D-effects).

How can I realise a highlighted selected menu item?

Is a sprymenu the right way to get such a simple and compatible menubar?

Thanks, tobt

No, you don't need spry or any other kind of javascript based menu to get what you want. All you need is HTML & CSS. Also for a rollover effect like the one on the navigation of Apple. To highlight the current page you can give the menu item of that page a class "current" and style this class with CSS differently.
