Default Hosting when client already owns domain URL

I have created a website for someone and they already own the domain name. If I purchase hosting space, how do I transfer the site over to that URL? What information do I need to get from the client?

Any help regarding this would be brilliant thanks.

You have two choices. You can either ask the client to change the nameservers at their end or re-register the domain by asking them to change the IPS tags.

Your hosting supplier will be able to provide you with both of these nuggets of information.

I've moved your thread to the appropriate board.

Just ask the hosting where you want to host the site and move the domain to.

Normally the web hosting company need an authorization code from the domain registrar, so that they can move the domain.
