Default file question

I am new to DW and just put up first web that has 7 pages. Found a good hosting site in that it lets you register a domain and host site for free without banners. It is 000Webhost. I have no connection with the company but for a newbie it has worked great.
Here is the question......I am using CS3, in self teach mode, and had a few problems in the beginning with Windows 7 (64) and file placement. Thanks for the help. Now I have the fun of cleaning up the file window.
Can I create a folder called images and place all the image files within the folder. I set it up so that there would be an image folder originally. It did not happen. There is no folder for images. I think this is part of the CS3/Windows 7 situation. It is working now but I have a lot of files visible.
Thanks in advance

not sure why you have a problem but it is part of the site definition to add an image folder in dw, as it appears you realise, so yes do it. as for

do you mean the files are listed i the image folder? the quickest work around if it is is to put a blank index.html file in the folder that will be opened instead of listing file names

Create an images folder in your rood folder. You can do this in DW's Files window. right+click on the main site folder in your Local Files view and select New Folder. Then, still in DW's Files window, you can simply drag your images into your new images folder. DW will ask you if you want to update the links and you should allow it.

A couple notes:

1. I'd back up the site first (just in case)
2. You have to do this inside DW. If you try moving the files out in the Finder or Windows Explorer(?) you'll break all your links to the images.
