Default Dreamweaver CS3

Difficult to explain what I want help with, but here goes.

I help run a dog related website, where we post dog show results with the pedigree name of the winning dog like here.......

http://www.collienet.com/showresults...April2011.html

What I want to be able to do is to click on the dogs pedigree name in the results, and this will open up a new page showing the dogs pedigree, but I dont want the pop up page with the pedigree to take you away from the page with the results or to fill the screen. This 'pop up' will also have the option to click on a photograph of the dog. Not sure if this makes sense, but I have seen it on another site, and would like to replicate it on ours.

Hoping this explains what I mean....

Lovely dogs. Bet they are a nightmare to keep clean though. A lot of brushing goes on I'd imagine. I think you are looking for a pop up window. There may well be a built in Dreamweaver 'behaviour' for that. Check that out first. If not, try an online generator like this http://javascript.internet.com/gener...up-window.html

Hope that helps.

Thanks for comments about the dogs. They are not too bad if you have the right tools and equipment.

We have a pop up window on our other site which we did with a 'behaviour' tool, although you are limited on text, and cant put any additional links into the pop up.

However, I think the link you have given me above may do the job......what do I do with the generator code? (sorry for being thick).

I'd imagine just copy and paste it where you want it in your page.
