cheers m8 were you referring to this quote lol

Relying on WYSIWYG editors
I would also add that owning a copy of Dreamweaver doesn't make you a web designer as much as owning a camera (no matter how flash or expensive) does not make you a photographer

Yeah, I stand by that. A tool is only as good as the person using it and how much time they want to invest in understanding the basics. Honestly, once you crack the founding principals of CSS you will never look back!

sorry guys i got side tracked due to a long spell in hospital (joys of being disabled lol)...

i do agree with you Corrosive any tool is only as good as the person useing it,
i have to say i dont even know what CSS means yet but will read up on it, at the moment i'm just looking at getting the grasp of the very basics as in getting 1 page online and basic use of dreamweaver,
i have in the past (6 years ago) used front page to get 2-3 pages online but i would like to use a software that does more as i learn, if i start useing front page again i feel i will just get used to that software and be stuck with it if you get my meaning?,

i did try to get a collage coarse to learn with dreamweaver but it far far to much for me to pay on what i get so going to try learn online

You're still gonna need comprehensive training mat'ls to get through an adobe product. They simply do so much you can spend weeks going through online write-ups & youtube & what-not, but as you move forward you'll want to get to that point of free-handing what you're doing...
check out "dreamweaver the missing manual" ; it's a good place to start...

It's a purchaseable item out on the net from bookstores & such. You can download it also.
