![]() The images I'm inserting seem to be slowing Dreamweaver down, and I can't figure out why.
A Photoshop image of 600x600px (they're almost all this size) is about 2500x2500px when it's inserted, and I then have to scale it down to 130x130, which is the final size on the page. Meanwhile, Dreamweaver gets slower and slower and slower. I drew the images in Illustrator CS3 and colored them in Photoshop CS3. A typical file is 600 kb to 1.1 mg in Photoshop and Dreamweaver turns it into approx. 100-300 kb in the local file. I have NO idea why the imports are always 2500x2500. I'm running an Intel-based Mac with 4GBs of memory. Nothing's ever been slow before! Can anyone provide some insights? |

![]() The image size should stay the same. I must admit I am confused. The size in kb is still far too big for web though. Make sure you optimise your images for use in a website.
