Question New to Dreamweaver Need Help.

Hello Crew. I have a simple question. I hope their is a simple answer.
I have attempted to read help info However; I cannot figure this out.
How do you stop Object (IMAGE / TEXT/ OR DROP-DOWN MENUS) from moving around. How do you anchor them into place.. I open the property area and place the image Left or Right, but their must be more to this. I just want to know how to anchor while editing the site. I understand that objects will adjust in Live View of the site. But I don't want the object to drop down or move out of place. Help.. I am newbe... Reading a lot.. not enough.. Help?

check put positioning relative or absolute or even fixed.
normal practice is to layout your design using divs and position them relatively and put you content in them

What you seem to be describing is perhaps building a menu and then pushing it over the other side of your desktop whilst you work on other parts of the site and then dragging it into place when you need it...

It doesn't quite work like that. As Ed says, use relative positioning and your site will need to go together all in one go.
