Default MS Publisher Files - IE7 not showing correctly

I have a new client which originally built his own site in MS Publisher 2007. On Safari, firefox and early IE browsers the site works fine, how ever IE7 and IE8 the side navigation does not work.

I have to try and get this working while I working on redesigning his site, but I am not used to working with publisher.

Any assistance would be appreciated as always.

I've been in this situation twice. If you're an HTML expert, and I mean expert, go ahead and edit the file, but it's going to be very frustrating. If you're not an expert, delete the whole thing and redo the page using web standards.
