Question Can someone please fix these stairs?

Hi All,

I'm working on a website for a local chiropractor, and one of the images is the outside of his building. Unfortunately, the building's a bit "ratty", and doesn't really represent his practice very well.

Here's the image I'm working with:

In particular, I'd like to make the stairs look a bit better, but I don't really want to invest a lot of time in it. Any ideas as to a "quick fix" for these stairs that might make them look better? Any other suggestions for improving the image are welcomed, as well.

Thanks,
Sam

why not simply *not use* the picture?
what value does including a picture of the practice add? ok, if it was some sleek stylish new building, the maybe but unless it's so people can recognize it then why do it at all??

You could always posterize the image and then touch it up a bit. Or use some other Photoshop filter but realistically the results are probably going to look a bit cheesy.

Good stuff, guys - thanks. I'm kind of desperate for content from this guy - he isn't really giving me much to work with, and I haven't come up with much from my free image site.

Speaking of which...please allow me to hijack my own thread. I use the following site for free/royalty free images: http://www.sxc.hu/. Does anyone know of any others?

I'll play around with the PS filters - that's something I hadn't thought of, so I may find something that'll work.

Thanks again,
Sam

actually if you crop the picc north of the water / gas meter it will lose the worst of the steps also or replace with a supermodel getting her spine adjusted

I would not try to photoshop the image.
If I noticed how nice the house looked on his website, but then saw the real thing when I came to his practice, then this would reflect on him personally.

If using the photo is must, just crop out what you don't want.

Good point!

How much would it cost to pay some kid to paint the steps?

he might also want to do something to the physical building itself! a lick of paint wouldn't go amiss. if i was a patient it wouldn't give me much confidence to walk/limp into this kind of place

Brilliant !

I vote for not using the image - it doesn't add anything.
Or just use it in the header small (real small)
