Default roller coaster...

I am just starting my roller coaster ride of frustration - elation cylces when I can't get things to work and then I figure it out...

I thought I might get "there" faster if I join a forum and share my plights.

I look forward to meeting some of you and learning the right way to do things.

So, my first question is:

Where should I look for newbie tutorials - I am trying to figure out how to manage files and sites. I have one "site" that I manage and there are several stand alone pages (no links to them) on the site. Each page hosts a video. The idea is that a viewer cannot navigate to the video without knowing the address or receiving a link from me.

-how do I create / use a "template" to give me a consistant look and provide me with a quick way to add a new video?

-if I use an external .css, does the file have to reside in the page's folder, or can it live in the root folder and control all of the pages?

Enough for now... My head is spilling over with questions.

poco a poco
(little by little)

Thanks !

Welcome to the forum.

templates >>> http://www.dreamweaverclub.com/dream...-templates.php

and, yes, put all your styles in a .css file and then link it into each of your pages. It's up to you where you put it. Mine usually go in a folder called css (funnily enough).
