Get on Wordpress, it's free and more powerful than anything you could build.

I have built a few... any questions, fire away. There's a Wordpress thread a little further down...

I just created a wordpress account and I have a domain as well (theautumnwindow.com) and I was hoping to fuse the wordpress blogs into my domain's mainContent DIV. How do I go about doing this?

You may benefit from skinning a wordpress blog for what you are doing...

This is where I started: http://jonathanwold.com/tutorials/wordpress_theme/ - it looks like tons of work but is mostly copy and paste.

Get into it and start breaking it (just keep a copy of the files )

Sure, just make sure you call all the needed includes at the top of your page. Did you look in wordpress site at their massive user contributed documentation?

If you're serious, I would sincerely suggest that this might not be exactly your cup of tea, get someone else to do it for you
Either way have a look here, it's *really* simple:
