Default How to make a layout from an existing image?

Hi,

I been trying to learn how to use Adobe Dreamweaver so I could use it to create my website with all my animations.

What i have done is i have create a large email with the logo and the background of the website, my plan is to have that as the main site, in the center of the browser with the links and the other elements.

I been trying to add the image as the background of the site (insert ----> image) but it isnt letting me add other images/videos in top of that particular image...

Is there an easier way to use an image as a layout/background and add pictures, text and movies to it??

Thanks!

Chris.
