Default F R U S T R A T E D!!!!!

I've been attempting to do a web site for myself and have spent —I'm embarrassed to admit—over a month trying to figure out a few simple things....YES I have been reading one of the many DreamWeaver tombes and still can't find the answer to my question.
Maybe what I'm trying to do is just not possible??
I have created an animation that loads as the main image for the homepage, then I'd like the nav bar I created in Fireworks to sit nicely on top of it ...am I nuts?? For whatEVER reason, the nav bar shows up briefly then hides behind the image...and sometimes, when I roll over the area, parts of it show up, then disappear.
I know nothing about codeing.
I need a guru

If the animation is flash then take a look at section 1, Hiding the Flash object, on this page:

If that's not the solution then can you post a url for us to look at?

Rob_Che
I was planning to, but have opted for a static background...until I learn a thing or two.

Thanks for the response and the welcome!

Hey Cher - you look more comfortable with a paint brush - they should be real splash marks, not computer generated *tut*tut*

Paint some elements of your design, I'd like that.

PS; good site URL ! "This old 'art of mine' "
