Default flash background

hello again,

working on flash now. Is it possible to make the background layer transparent?

See: www.susanschwartzeditor.com

I believe I can insert the 3 images on 3 different swf. files and prepare the timelines as I want them with fade ins, etc.

However, I have researched and can't find, a way to put all 3 images on one stage in their apropropriat positions and have the background layer be alpha at 0% so that the word 'chwartz' shows thru. The text and gray background as is (imported from Illustrator) in DW, is the background, not in a table.

So far, all info that I find inserts the swf. files centered and in their own space - not allowing the 2 to intermingle together.

Hope you can understand my layman description, and answer/comment.

yes you can set your flash background transparent.

when you save out you swf file go to file>publish settings

Click the HTML tab and where it says windows mode select transparent windowless.

hit publish.

then import the swf in dreamweaver and look in the html and find the list of <param> tags for your Flash animation.

To make your movie transparent, add the following parameter tag along with the other parameter tags listed in the HTML:
<PARAM NAME=wmode VALUE=transparent>

Now, find the <embed> tag and add the following tags along with the other embed tags:
wmode
="transparent"
