There's literally a thousand reasons why. But unless you provide your URL it will be impossible to find out exactly what
If you don't have the page live (best option), then provide the full HTML and CSS.

<p><font face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" size="2"><br>
Welcome to our miniature painting site. The world of miniature painting
has come a long way from the days when everyone goes to the same shop
to get their painting supplies. Nowadays, the vast array of acrylic
paints, brushes, varnishes, mediums and many others can make buying
decisions a bit overwhelming at times.</font></p>
<p><font face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" size="2">If you're new to
the hobby browse through the Articles section to get an idea of the
many games companies around like Games Workshop, Reaper, Rackham, Foundry,
Assasin, Hasslefree to name a few, to acrylic paint suppliers like Vallejo,
Reaper, Citadel, Coat D'arms, Foundry and Formula P3.</font></p>
<p><font face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" size="2">For those of you
who's not quite sure what this is all about, I will explain briefly.
Miniature painting is the hobby of painting little plastic or metal
figures from as little as 10mm high to as big as 90mm, with 28mm being
the most popular scale. The painted figures are then used on the gaming
table to enact historical battles or to play out a fantasy adventure
game. As the hobby continues to grow, more an more collectors are also
coming to the scene to collect them.</font></p>

Congratulations on a very clean website, I like it, you have a nice eye for design

I can tell that you're depending on DW to do your coding, which is o.k. it just means that you will have a little harder time to understand why certain things happens in different browsers.

Here a list of things I suggest you do to fix your problems:
HTML Code:
<table width="100%" border="0" cellspacing="1.5" cellpadding="1.5" height="24" mm_noconvert="TRUE">
-Don't use commas in cellspacing and cellpadding values

HTML Code:
<font color="ffffe8">Home</font>
-All colors needs a pound sign in front of them to be valid hex colors: #ffffe8

The real fix:
-Remove all percentage values in your Table cells. This is what makes the design look different. Using percentages is o.k. but it will not work with your design, you want a set width for everything.

thank you very much for helping me out. i will go and look at my code now and do everyything you suggested.

i'm glad you think the design is clean cos i just got told off for having a sickly green and orange colour in the design. lol

it was a very dark green when my monitor brightness was low but now since it's at max after calibration it seems to be a sickly olive green but that's another story cos i don't even know if i calibrated the monitor correctly

thanks again for your help.

domedia,

i have done evryting you suggested especially setting width in pixels. in explorer all percentages not not appear but in firefox there are still two percentage values one in the 1st editble region and the second in the 3rd editable reigion. it's not reflecting the changes i made. what should i do next. thanks again.

hi domedia

it just got solved. i just threw the whole bottom nav bar out. for some reason ff doesn't seem to like the bottom bar although i made sure evryting was sized properly or seem to be. i reall ydon't understnad it maybe when i know a little bit more about designing but for now i'm just glad it's viewable in ff with no horizontal scrollling.

thanks again for taking the time to help me out.
