Default EMS SQL Manager, How to reset primary key value?

Hi all,

I am building a database with EMS and have started to add data. My problem is that the primary key auto increment value has started at a value I dont want. How can the start value be changed. I have tried removing all the data but new data still starts from the last entry. I'm sure there must be a way, any ideas anyone. Thanks.

Hi again all,

I have sussed out how to do it so if anyone else has the same problem here is the answer.

I removed all data from the table and instead of entering new data into your second field and allowing the primary key to increment, enter the start value you want directly into the primary key field. Then all other data you add later will auto increment from that value.

Hope this helps someone. If anyone knows a better way please let us know.

Regards, Paul
