Question Problems with Masking

Whenever I try to paste a bit map into a marque shape as a mask, the picture comes out distorted. The distortion usually varies depending on the filling color of my shape.

Can anyone advise me on how to get a clear image inside my shape?

Thanks,

Dovroc

Hi Dave

I hope you can see these images. They include original image, vector shape, and masked picture.

I meant to write "Whenever I try to paste a bit map into a marque vector shape as a mask". But i think you got the message.

Thanks for your help.

if you're after something like this http://pp.kpnet.fi/prescott/stuff/myvectorshapegb9.png

then draw your rounded rectangle

cut the photo (ctrl x) then select the vector shape and Edit > Paste inside

with it still selected go to the properties bar at the bottom of the screen and Add Filter: Adjust Colour > colour fill, pick you colour (the pink) and adjust the percentage to your liking

btw
the other thing you can do is invert the picture (from the top menu Filters > adjust colours > invert and then select it with vector shape and then Modify > mask > group as mask
