Default non-reciprocated back-links

would it be possible to set up a facility for DW club members to exchange "non-reciprocal" back-links to our respective websites?

well, my idea was, that we could set up a page on the club site, of two separate lists, that participating members can add their website addresses to:
say - for example - a RED list and a BLUE list

club members could then add their own website address/es to one of the lists

websites in the "RED" list can only offer back-links to websites in the "BLUE" list...and...websites in the "BLUE" list can only offer back links to websites in the "RED" list

there could also be an option to check (i.e. "please contact this member before creating a link from your website")

I think the idea is a good one but i think colour coding it will cause confusing as new members may think the red ones are spam or something.

But i think prehaps seperate the links into respective industries as web designers may not want links to other web designers.

It may create a good little network though.

DJ want do you think?

i think its over complicated but thats just my opinion

we have come up with lots a great ideas which sound good on paper but when implimented they fall flat on their face. They dont get the uptake we expect and nobody really wants to use them.

yes - you are right about the colour coded lists...it wouldn`t prevent reciprocation any way...i think the idea would have to be more of a "pool" of website addresses that are willing to offer space for a link to fellow club members and by being in the "pool" - you can hope that someone else will offer a link to your site...

Its the good idea senario

even with a poll you may get 100 - 200 people giving it the thumbs up but realistic uptake would be 20-30. People use polls because its something to press. Like when Wile E. Coyote's is pressented with a button that reads DONT PRESS ME

polls a great for voting on subjects (best web site, music, politician, fashion , cars etc) because after the button has been pressed thats the job done. Polls are shite when the vote requires an action after the vote to finalise the opinion of the voter like the uptake of a new system.
