Hi everyone, I've just joined the club in the hope somebody can put me straight. I find a lot of ag trying to define a site, I've read several books and they just skip over the subject. I always end up with a root folder in my documents, that seems to be in conflict with every thing else. to be honest I haven't a clue what I'm talking about. I've built my website put it on the web (attempted to) and when I type in my url I get a white page with Index bla bla on it.I contacted my host and they said the webroot should be public_html. But where do I type that.
Anyone have any thoughts

When you upload your files to your website, upload to the public_html subdirectory.

In dreamweaver when you set up your site :
In site definitions edit your site by adding "remote info"

Access - FTP
FTP Host - www.mysite.com (or whatever your host is using)
Host Directory - public_html
Then your login & password

And welcome to the club....

Mike...
