Default A comment about web design trends

I continue to be amazed at the number of web sites that have a 'portrait' layout instead of a 'landscape' layout when every monitor I've ever seen is landscape in shape. How difficult is it for them to re-set, for example, instruction manuals (usually pdf's) in landscape? Government sites are the worst because they are full of forms and other stuff that appears to simply be an online version of their paper stuff. Just a thought.
