Default Form doesn't POST submit button

Hi, I am Andromeda's son, and I am helping her with some ASP code because she has recently taken over development of a website and wishes to change it but doesn't understand any ASP. I have encountered a small problem.

On one page edit.asp there is the following code:

<form method="post" action="update.asp" name="data" ENCTYPE="multipart/form-data" onSubmit="this.REF_NO.min=0;verify(this);">
<input type="submit" id="update1" name="Save" value="Update" onClick="return onPostUpdate();">&nbsp;
And after that, the rest of the form, including the </form> tag.

On the update.asp page, it only saves the data if there is a field called 'Save', which is the submit button from the previous page. The problem is that edit.asp doesn't appear to be POSTing the 'Save' value to update.asp.

Any ideas why?
