![]() Hello guys,
I would like to make an eCommerce base website and want to add an online shopping option. Hence, could you suggest which one is better Wordpress or Joomla? |

![]() If your site is purely e-commerce then I'd use a platform aimed at just selling online. Check out Prestashop or Magento for starters. IMO using a CMS is less effective than a dedicated e-comm setup.

![]() My preferred choice between these two will always be Wordpress because its very user friendly . So if you are looking to build a simple website i would strongly recommend Wordpress for you.

![]() Definitely Wordpress. The installation process is easier than Joomla. It takes only 5 minutes to upload and install WordPress.
As for templates, WordPress has the largest themes available online. There's a theme for almost anything someone can imagine. And WordPress is more like an app where joomla is a CMS. |

![]() Of course, Wordpress. It has more templates to offer and bigger in size. Moreover, it takes little time to install as well.

![]() If you want an eCommerce Website, the best is OpenCart. Very easy to install, very easy to use.

![]() If your site is e-commerce then you can use Virtumart for your Joomla based website and Woocommerce for your WP based site. I highly recommend Wordpress, easier to use and so many more options. One negative point, be careful with hackers installing malware on your website There are some resources helping you have a right choice when choosing your needed CMS.See the comparison chart of WordPress, Joomla and Drupal on http://www.threehosts.com/ratings/wordpress-vs-joomla-vs-drupal.html.There is also a useful article at http://www.rackspace.com/knowledge_c...-and-wordpress |
