Default Dreamweaver and Php

Dreamweave has been my go to for many years now but im kind of having trouble eeing why i should stick to it as its support for php is quite limited when compared to other editors. Are there any planes by adobe or maybe some packages or plugins that i am unaware of that help with this issue ?

no i dont think so. there was an extension for pdo but typically verbose and not really useful.
i would say other than building uour own snippet library you will be better served using an IDE. to get advantage of direct contact to databases and classes if using OPP.

Yeah ive been askiing this question a while now, im kind of sad to leave dreamweaver behind but even on adobe websites there are no real indication that this will be happening.

I have in the meantime found a really good ide imo in Brackets its also an adobe product , pretty much like sublime , but free , and fully customisable with extensions , so you can have your drag and drop of files in your directories , auto suggest for php among other markup languages. it has a really good cohesion with a local development environment , which is something i always liked about dreamweaver.

But il keep both and use them as needed i think dreamweaver still offers some great features even if its not a all round package. Who knows however what they come up with in the future.

i get that dreamweaver is comfortable to use as it were. i would suggest you look at netbeans as a good free choice. i also have codelobster but bought the lite version license . (not a lot )to get the database manager.

Its comfortable , but not fulfilling my needs like i mentioned to you before im now in sublime and brackets these seem good to me. You keep mentioning netbeans , i will definitely check it out , since its free . Another thing that comes up alot is visual studio , i honestly dont know much about it, short of googling it. Do you have any experience with it ?
