What's the flash alternative?

I love Flash web sites when done properly. However, I hate that they can't be seen by Ipads and all things Mac. Is there an alternative Flash style?

WHy can't I preview the flash in dreamweaver?

When I click on any of my flash elements in dreamweaver the "play" button doesn't appear. I only get the edit button. Have I inserted them incorrectly?

Yes "sports buttons" refers to the images that say "tennis baseball" etc..

ok! I haven't fixed it yet, I've been cleaning up my code getting rid of all the useless stuff. I used a template and changed things but didn't delete the old code.
