Its quite hard to say.

Your computer is fine, you don't need anything fancy for web design work.

Looking at the page, you are loading a script thats not on the server

<script type="text/javascript" src="jscripts.js"></script>

This won't effect anything locally though I wouldn't have thought. It could be the scripts for the social links. Sometimes things like this can hang or not load correctly when viewed locally.

Try removing this from your page just as a test and see if this is whats causing the issue.

If it is you could just comment out the code until you are ready to deploy. In html you do this with

<!-- comment -->

In javascript you just use //

400kb of js seems a lot for ... erm well what is it for?

incidentally the text could do with a good look over for gammar and flow - "won't" has an apostrophe in it and I assume it should be "summer fetes" not 'fates' ;)

follow the logo colours for the colour scheme of the site - i like your background image, but the 'special offer' could take a yellow or similar colour from the logo and be a button OR the background oval thing

also i notice it doesn't seem to be responsive...

the red 'warning' text and the blue copy text remind me of Frontpage sites of old :) why not replace the red with orange or purple from the logo bouncy castle, and then use the mid/dark blue from the logo text for the body copy (or a slightly darker vesion

i would not be that harsh personally, iw ould like to se the meny with maybe some different varied {candy) colours to keep with a childlike (child friendly?) theme
