View Full Version : Pics show on intranet, but on web! Why?

I've spent three hours trying to make two pics show on my website, but I just can't do it. They show when I look at the site in Dreamweaver "Live" and they show when I look at the site locally (intranet). Better still, they both work: they both divert to the relevant pages at Facebook and at Twitter.

I have repeatedly uploaded the same page(s) to the server, but the two pics just will not show when the server pages are viewed.

Please help.

If you look at any page at http://www.davidcade.net
right at the very top of the page there should be the Facebook and the Twitter icons. Here's a pic of how they appear when I look at the site locally (via intranet).

Can anyone tell me why they these two icons/pics won't appear when I look at the site on the web?

Many Thanks.

Thanks, Corrosive! That's some relief!

I use Firefox (and have the latest version running) but after hearing your news I have just loaded IE and looked at the site in it, and sure enough the two icons are there, and on every page!

So why not in Firefox, I wonder?

(time passes)

Have just been to http://browsershots.org and in absolutely everyone of about 30 different browsers the two icons showed - including in several versions of Firefox!

So why not MY Firefox?

(time passes)

It's "Adblock Plus" that's doing it! I disabled it for this website and the icons now show on every page! (This seems to indicate the creators of "Adblock Plus" regard Facebook and Twitter as undesirables!)

Thanks a lot for helping me solving the problem, Corrosive! I shall sleep a bit less vexed tonight!
