Hi,
I want to design a webshop.
I've got some experience with dreamweaver, but not too much.
Now, I want to build in a shopping cart system.
Here in Holland, iDeal is mainly used for transactions via the internet.
iDeal is pretty much the same as paypal.
If I want to use iDeal, I have to pay 35 euro's per month, or 0,40 euro's per transaction.
If I would be expecting a lot of costumers, I wouldn't mind paying that.
But I don't expect a lot of costumers.
So, what I would like to make, is a shopping cart system.
When you have selected all the items you want to buy, you can press, continue to check-out. Here, the costumer fills in his information. Name, Shipping adress, bank information.
The bank information would be a selecting wheel, with 5 options, and a spot to fill in there bank number.
In the 5 options, there will be 4 banks, the 5 option is different bank, which isn't named in the wheel, and they have to type the name of the bank they are using.
And a human-verification check, or how do you call those things.
Then when they press continue, they get to see the information they filled out, and a bill.
Now, I will be desinging the bill myself, the thing the system has to do, is fill in the information.
The costumer will receive an automatic e-mail, and I will receive an e-mail with the order. After I checked my bank if I received the payment, I will proceed to send out the package.
It is quite a lot I need, but I am sure someone can help me with this.
I hope to get an answer soon!
Regards

If i where you, i would go for a OpenSource webshop, so you have a safe webshop:!:

I have tried OpenCart.
Really loving the program, keeps track of everything.
But I HAVE to integrate paypal or iDeal, and that is just not what I want.
I kind off want to make an e-mail ordering webshop, but a *almoost* fully automated one.

I see where you coming from when you just started and don't want to pay 35 euro's p/m, but what's wrong with 40 cent per transaction. What do you sell... how much percent is that 40 cent of your profit on an item?

40 cent is not much if you compare it with the time and resources that goes into developing a whole new and secure system that handles the checkout on the website. If you don't have the resources/knowledge, than it might be a good idea to just go with iDeal.

That's my 40 cent... uhm 2 cent ;)

Hmm, yeah I could do that.
But then I need to get a so called business bank account, what will cost me around 10 euro's a month.
I need good secure payed webhosting, which isn't cheap..
This webshop isn't meant to really make a living. It isn't really a hobby eithee. It is just something to make a little extra money. Something like a paper round.
Now we are talking about webhosting... The most secure I can get is at home. Can't I host a website/shop myself?

now its a different issue i think.
the reason for a business account is mainly due to tax payments. if you use bank transfer , may visitors will not trust you.
If you want to host yourself yo would have to consider 24 hr access, responsibility for your system with others money involved, how will you be found??
it may be a hobby but its not going to be a free hobby . look at free hosting . Pay pal for instance you can have payments made to an account with a credit card or debit card

Not many people here in Holland use paypal, so that is out of the question.
Ofcourse it won't be a free hobby.
Is free webhosting a good option? Because just as you said, you are dealing with other mans money.

Is there anybody who can edit OpenCart so that you can place an order, but you won't be redirected to a paying method. Just that you give your information, and that I will get an e-mail with the order and information?
That would be great, that will suit all my needs :)
