I have a Lightbox 1.0 on this page:
http://rosechaffey.com.au/portfolio2012-13.html

On Firefox, Chrome and Safari the thumbs display three to a row, which is how many fit in that table cell. But in IE they will only display two to a row, no matter how wide I make the table cell.

Why? Pulling my hair out here...

you have different width values in your page and in your linked sample style sheet. might be that

Hey, another question... when I preview this page locally, the rollovers on the portfolio images work (2012-13 etc). But when I upload the page, they don't. Why might that be?

they are working on fire fox, google and ie, try a browser refresh

They're meant to lighten on rollover.

yup they change to a light grey colour. yu mean the menu links right?

OK, that's where we're getting confused. The five square images with years on them eg 2012-13 are links to different groups of artworks and are meant to lighten when rolled over.

They do it locally when I preview the page in Firefox, Chrome or Safari (let's just forget IE for now) but it doesn't work on the live page.

from what i see you did not add the vclass to the other pages. as it is shared put it in your css sheet

<style type="text/css">
/* BeginOAWidget_Instance_2127022: #gallery */

.lbGallery {
/*gallery container settings*/

padding-top: 10px;
padding-right: 5px;
padding-bottom: 10px;
width: 520px;
height: auto;
text-align:left;
}
.lbGallery ul { list-style: none; margin:0;padding:0; }
.lbGallery ul li { display: inline;margin:0;padding:0; }
.lbGallery ul li a{text-decoration:none;}
