I changed the menu tabs on the site I'm working on. http://www.sinistercraft.com/

How do I do "current page indicator" on an image tab I created in Dreamweaver?

Thank you all.

Melody, what is the 'current page indicator'?

Oh...I'm probably not using the right wording. I'm sorry.

I used "persistent highlighting" before and then looking things up to help me, saw that the feature was also called "current page indicator". So I changed my request.

What I'm wanting is (for the page that folks are on) that the tab in the menu bar be in the hover look/position. (On this site, the corresponding tab to stay "on" with the gray text.)

That way people will know at a glance what page they are on.

Thank you for your help.

because you only have 5 pages and not using php then when you're on a certain page e.g. map, then simply use the hover image instead of the normal image.

and your buttons aren't anti-aliased

also save your main page background as a jpeg. over 2mb for a background image is silly ;) same for your banner (8-bit png)

That did it! Thank you so very much!!

So simple...I don't know why I was trying to make it hard.

Goodness...I appreciate your help.

Can you explain what you mean by "your buttons aren't anti-aliased"? I don't know what that is.

Also appreciate your suggestion of saving my images smaller.

Thank you!

i mean that the edges aren't smooth - they're ragged. how did you make them, or did you take it from somewhere?

My son made them from a (Googled) photo. (ie. Using Gimp, he cropped the image, used background transparency, and then added the different colored text for each button)

They are a little ragged...being beginners, we didn't know how to fix that.

your text isn't anti-alsied either - make sure the "antialiasing" option is turned on when you start to make text see http://pp.kpnet.fi/prescott/stuff/antialiasing-gimp.jpg
bit smoother base button - if you want to make the buttons again that is - http://pp.kpnet.fi/prescott/stuff/button-base.png

Dave thank you! (Saw this first thing yesterday morning...then the day began and I never got back with you.)

Thank you for going to all the trouble to explain and then to provide him a button. He'll be over today and I'll share it with him.

Thank you for taking the time...to teach me...and to go out of your way to be kindly helpful.

You are appreciated!! Thank you.
