Hello,

Iím looking for a shopping cart that I can integrate into my website or Dreamweaver template. I'm not interested in carts like zencart or oscommerce. I don't want one that is template based and where I have to make the template look like my website.

So Iím wondering are there any carts out there (free), that I can just plug in maybe php code here and there into my existing website (Dreamweaver template) and have a fully functional cart?
Thanks in advance!

There are some dreamweaver extensions on offer as well as http://www.cartweaver.com/welcome-to-cartweaver/
none are free and i doubt if there are any.
Have you looked at modifying a template of a shopping cart? It may be your only way i suspect

You should indeed make clear for yourself what the shopping cart has to do, before you search for one. There are many questions you will have to ask yourself.

This free guide has some useful information for you. Read it and it will make decision making easier.

I have an idea for what I need.
I would like to have my website template (using Dreamweaver) and not shopping cart interface.
I need a cart that is free or not expensive.
I will be selling 3 downloadable items. And I would like to have buyer to be able to register before download, purchase and receive an email with confirmation automatically.
I’m not experienced with shopping carts but would like to know what cart or other solution will be better for my website.
Thank you!

What's the reason that potential buyers first has to register before they can download and purchase? I mean if it are downloadable items then you can just use Paypal or Google Checkout and after payment the buyer gets an email with the download link. No need for registration.

You could use something simple like this:

Okay... it's a JavaScript based shopping cart, but simpler then this you won't find I think. Oh well... there are tons of different shopping carts, so there's probably a similar simple PHP shopping cart out there as well.

I have been using www.mals-e.com (http://www.mals-e.com) for years and it works well. It is free but they also have an inexpensive premium program. You don't need templates you just add a buy it now button to your web page and do a hyperlink to Mals secure server. The server at mals stores the credit card info or paypal info in a password protected database and sends you an email that you have an online order.

I believe for a downloadable sale you may need the premium program which will also automatically process the credit card instead of storing the info.

I like Mals for the same reasons you are searching. I prefer integrating it into my site without trying to make a template look close and I like free. Can't beat that price. I have it on 4 or 5 sites and never had a problem or complaint.

I recomend you use the wepay shopping cart because it completely integrates into your site but you have to process fees via wepay. Also i recomend fat free cart. It works with paypal and google checkout.
