Is there a way to create a 'banner' using an image and then put a table on top that I can put text in? Something like making hotspots, but I can't figure a way to put text on those hotspots.

If I didn't explain it well enough, please let me know ... this is giving me a headache.

Thanks!

are you using tables as a layout? it would be easy using divs. You could use the image as a background image then.

You have to provide a link if you want anyone to help you with a problem.

This solution might not work for you, but it will work the way you described.

<div style="position: relative;">
<img>
<p style="position: absolute; top: 10px; left: 30px; width: 100px; height: 20px;">Your text</p>
</div>

can't provide a link, it's not an active page yet ...

I worked it out by cutting up my image and creating images for rollovers instead ... the page when finished will be for a club page for the Napoleonic Wargame Club ... I was trying to make the page as easy as possible just in case I can't get around to fixing it each time they need it fixed.

I will provide the link once I get it up and running ...

thanks for the help

Just use regular CSS for the background.

td#yourID {background: url(yourImage.png);}
