I placed a large Flash Video on my webpage, automatically starts upon download, and it really looks nice. But the problem is that at the moment of webpage download, the box is initially white for half a second before the video comes on. The flash of white is very disturbing, specially since my background and wrapper colors are all dark colors and the video itself is fairly dark, so the brief flash of a white window is very noticeable and disturbing. How can I avoid the Flash window being white for half-second before the video starts???
Thanks for any help.

You will have to add wmode: transparent to your embed swf. A thread on stackoverflow explains where and how.

Try wmode but if that doesn't fix your issue try declaring a background colour in your embed code. You do this via a parameter.

See this post for more info.
