Hi

I am using DW CS4

I've been working on a template that has been designed with the 960 grid system. I wanted to add some hot spots and links to an image using the tool in Properties, but when I click on the image I don't get the image properties but the Div ID instead.
The image is in the CSS and the page shows fine when loaded.

So, how can I add a hotspot to an image that doesn't show as an image?

I've tried adding hotspots in Fireworks but this seems to throw the whole grid out of line when the image and slices are imported.

Any help would be much appreciated

You can only add hotspots to an <img> tag.

Do this <div> have any other content?

If you can upload everything to a temp place on the interwebs, someone here can look at the whole thing and give you some good advice. If not it's basically guessing.

Thanks for the reply

this is the page http://itwebhosting.co.uk/vibeinc/nav.html

I want to add hotspots to the black FAQ part, but the image is contained within the css file, heres a snippet

#subheader2 {

margin:0px;
padding: 0px;
background:url(../images/subheaderbg2.jpg) repeat-x;
height:70px;

}

Thanks for looking

Ive sorted it now - thanks for looking any way.

The solution was to create a transparent image to fit over the top of it and create the hotspotrs on the transparency!

Thanks again
