View Full Version : Make attribute editable problem

I couldn't find this in the search topics. I'm trying to make an editable template. This is what I've tried:

I chose the area in the html I wanted to be editable. Chose Insert>template objects>editable region.
(I pasted the code from my temp:) <!-- TemplateBeginIf cond="OptionalRegion1" --><!-- TemplateBeginEditable name="EditRegion3" -->
<div id="main"></div>
<!-- TemplateEndEditable --><!-- TemplateEndIf -->

This all works fine when I create new pages, but I can't edit the CSS.
So, for the corresponding CSS area, I chose Modify>make attribute editable.
In the pop up box where it says name, i entered the name of the css id tag.
ex: #main I entered main for the name.

So far, it's not working. New pages from template are not editable. If anyone knows how to make this work I'd appreciate it. Thanks

Okay, I figured it out. This is the reason the css was not editable:

When I inserted a new DIV and clicked on "CSS RULE", at the very bottom left of the window in the 'rule definition' area, by default, it was choosing a separate CSS sheet that I had stored in the folder.

Be sure to choose 'This Document Only' in the drop-down box. After that, everything works perfect.
