I am maintaining a web site that uses a survey form which emails the user response to a central company email address using formmail.php.

I am now being asked if the response data can be emailed to look exactly like the original form on the web site, and not just as lines of fields followed by the response values.

Does anyone know how to do that? I was thinking of something along the lines of a snapshot of the HTML page with the form and data on it.

Open to all ideas.

Thanks RT

You can use HTML in an e-mail so you could lay the whole thing out like the original form. Make sure you know what mail client the company use and test it thoroughly. It can be tricky (lots of tables and inline styles I'm afraid) so here is a bit of a guide to best practices; http://www.sitepoint.com/code-html-email-newsletters/
