View Full Version : Link to CSS container like an iframe

I have been trying to link from a menu I created from ultramenu. It has an option to link to +self, _blank, etc. it also says it can be linked to a frame (and I assume a container).

I am trying to figure out how to name the container and what to put in as the link in ultra menu to go get a graphic or an html page and insert it in the container.
If necessary i will use an iframe, but would prefer not tom however, I also would then be trying to figure out how and what to name the iframe and what to use in ultrmenu to place it in the iframe.
Would it be something like _iframe_name or just iframe_name?

there is a separate field for the link address and a separate field for the frame (or container I assume... we know what that means.

Thanks for any help.

I think what you are asking to do can be done using a named anchor; http://webdesign.about.com/od/beginningtutorials/a/aabg020899a.htm If I understand you right :)

Hi,

that was not quite the answer I need. let me clarify what I am asking.

Suppose I open a standard template with header, container and footer.
I have a menu creating program.
The program has the ability to place the linked html or whatever, in _self, _blank, Etc. One of the etc.'s is one that you type in.

I want to type something in that will tell where to place the html page that I am importing. (similar to using an Iframe).

I guess I need to name the container (or frame if I must use frames).
I am having trouble figuring out how and where to name the container so that the button menu can recognize it and then do I use the _importedpage.html for example or jsut use the name importedpage.html without the underscore.

I appreciate your help. i am a neophyte at this type of programming.

thank you.

Hi again,

Not there yet.

It still opens in a new wondow.
after target, what is the link.

Lets say my page is "index.html" and I have named the frame "frame1".
I am using ultramenu to create the menu.

When I click on the link in the menu, I want "flag.png" to appear in "frame1".

The menu progam has a link box to fill in which I have completed with flag.png and a tarket box in which I have entered "frame1".

It still opens in a new window.
Sorry to be such a pest.
We are a lot closer. I think a course in dreamweaver may be a necessity as I continue.

Thank you for your help.

Hi again,

I put together a form which emails to me.
The form works great except for one thing which is causeing all of the mail to indicate that it is spam.
I know you have seen this before but I have not found an answer so here I am.

How can I configure my email form in dreamweaver to include the sender
when it comes down in outlook?

thanks again for all your help.

Thank you for the speedy response.

I am using form mail on my site.
I created the form mail using the dreamweaver insert form
I downloaded the formtoemail.php that it recommended.

The form works great except for one issue.
When the form comes down by email, it comes down without indicating the sender's email address or even a sender name so the form is treated like spam.

Thank you,

EHM

i just checked online and it seems fine as regards headers which was what i was guessing may be wrong, it could be your domain , is is configured correctly . you should also do a spam check on its ip address if it is a shared hosting just to be sure
