I have submitted my site to google etc about a month ago...maybe more. How often do I need to repeat this process?

You don't need to submit to search engines. They are already very fancy experts at finding new pages and sites. Just make sure there's a link to your site from somewhere. For example on this page ;-)

You Just need to Submit your website to Search Engine Once. Other way is to submit an XML sitemap through Google webmaster tool to get all your internal links indexed.

One of the first things you should do when creating any new website is to install and submit an XML sitemap on google webmaster tools. After that its all good. Just like mattmactavish recommended. You only need to do this once and then it will index your site every time you update it if I am correct. Hope this helps.

Whenever you published new content on your site, try to index to the Google, otherwise you will not get any benefits of your writings.

You don't need to repeat this process again and again.
They are pretty smart and will automatically crawl your site again If you will publish fresh content on your site. ;)
