I am new to Dreamweaver and I am setting up a site with a html /css template from the menu. I have my site layout looking how I want as I work on it with a horizontal menu filling the viewable screen, but when I load the site up and view in my browser the horizonta menu moves accross so does not fill the screen and is not central and the text lay out is different. All I have on the site at the moment is text and the menu, so wonder if anyone can tell me what I might be doing wrong here. the site is www.sunpools.co.uk (http://www.sunpools.co.uk).

thanks

karl

Still learning myself but this is what I would try:

- Try to set your header width to match the container
(sets the header div to the full width of the container)

- Set the header background color to match the nav bar
(gives you a colored backgrounf to center the nav bar on)

- set the navbar>> margin: 0 auto;
(centers your navbar on matching bg color)

Thanks for that. The only way I can get my menu across the full width of the page was to increase the size of the menu to a point when in Dreamweaver the menu is now dispalyed on two lines. Is this usual??

error in your ie hack (spry css)

@media screen, projection
{
ul.MenuBarHorizontal li.MenuBarItemIE
{
display: inline;
f\loat: left;
background: #FFF;
}
}
