Hello All,

I'm having a Problem with the background image, and the flash i'm implementing ,

Whether i use background image with HTML or CSS , it disappears whenever I put this Flash Object I'm using

It's a simple page, I want the Background to be 500 wide x 800px in the center , meaning no repeat

This is the code of the flash object, I want to be put in the middle too
so

<center>
<div style="width:200px; text-align:center;"><object type="application/x-shockwave-flash" data="http://media.roytanck.com/flickrwidget.swf" width="200" height="200"><param name="movie" value="http://media.roytanck.com/flickrwidget.swf" /><param name="flashvars" value="feed=http%3A//api.flickr.com/services/feeds/photos_public.gne%3Fid%3D39487653@N08%26lang%3Den-us%26format%3Drss_200" /><param name="AllowScriptAccess" value="always"/><p></span></div>
</center>

whether background is used in <body background=C/....... >
or with CSS body { ...

it disappears when I put this flash code, : (

Where's the problem?

Hi Judes...
Can you upload this to a host so we can see the whole picture? If not, post the entire page along with the css; and on that topic, may I recommend you remove all styles from your html page and put them in a stylesheet instead. I don't think at the moment your background dissappears, the image is either is not properly linked or it's being placed somewhere else in the page somehow.

Search also the forum for 'wmode: transparent'. This might be the issue and there are enough threads already that cover this topic.

I got no hosting space right now,

and [gentleone]: lets say I removed the wmode=transparent , and put a BG color 200x200 colored #ffffff , for the flash object , Problem remains still

Here's the design without the 'Live Mode'

and here's the design, with 'Live Mode' and it's actual appearance on Browsers ,

It's a real simple web page, Just a Background Image, and this Flash Code,

/* If you suggest any other solutions , to put the picture underneath the flash code, without coming near to backgrounds or so, I can go with that */

Here's the Flash Code from RoyTanck's Website for Flickr (http://www.roytanck.com/get-my-flickr-widget/)

<div style="width:200px; text-align:center;"><object type="application/x-shockwave-flash" data="http://media.roytanck.com/flickrwidget.swf" width="200" height="200"><param name="movie" value="http://media.roytanck.com/flickrwidget.swf" /><param name="bgcolor" value="#ffffff" /><param name="wmode" value="transparent" /><param name="flashvars" value="feed=http%3A//api.flickr.com/services/feeds/photos_public.gne%3Fid%3D39487653@N08%26lang%3Den-us%26format%3Drss_200" /><param name="AllowScriptAccess" value="always"/><p><a href="http://www.roytanck.com">Roy Tanck</a>'s Flickr Widget requires Flash Player 9 or better.</p></object><span style="font-size:9px;">Get this widget at <a href="http://www.roytanck.com">roytanck.com</a></span></div>and Here's the whole webpage Code ,

Note: I've tried CSS and HTML for background

<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">
<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">
<head>
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8" />
<title>Untitled Document</title>
</head>

<body background="file:///C|/Users/Public/Pictures/blog/BGTest.jpg">
<center>
<div style="width:200px; text-align:center;"><object type="application/x-shockwave-flash" data="http://media.roytanck.com/flickrwidget.swf" width="200" height="200"><param name="movie" value="http://media.roytanck.com/flickrwidget.swf" /><param name="bgcolor" value="#ffffff" /><param name="flashvars" value="feed=http%3A//api.flickr.com/services/feeds/photos_public.gne%3Fid%3D39487653@N08%26lang%3Den-us%26format%3Drss_200" /><param name="AllowScriptAccess" value="always"/><p></span></div>
</center>
</p>

</body>
</html>

Curious... Did you try loading it via the 'preview in browser' mode chosen from the file tab? Sounds to me you've only used live mode so far...
