I've put together a quick first page and it works in my browsers but is terrible for IE - all over the place

any thoughts? I think(?) the issue is something to do with hiding the text content behind the graphics to only scroll the text.

here is the screenshot of what it is supposed to look like

more likely to be problems due to your use of absolute and fixed postioning i would think

should i revisit that? I would love to have just the text scroll

you can still have that just set a div height and have that attribute overflow scroll.
i didnt go through your page but its better as general practice to use position relative for layout generally. i suspect its the fixed thats giving you problems

do you mind if i mention a couple of things that would improve the readability of your site?

the right aligned intro text (which should be real text not an image) would be easier to read if it was left aligned, as should be all your main copy - fully justified text just doesn't work well on the web, yet.

Increase the text size, reduce the line length and height (increase the padding on either side)

16px text, 150px margins (i.e. padding) line-height 1.8, left aligned
