I just got my first notebook. Been running Windows XP on old desktop. Have installed CS2, Studio 8, on new computer with Windows 7. I can open Dreamweaver 8, type text, save and upload new page to website server. But while I have a page open for editing and I try to insert an image (mostly .jpg), the programs just abruptly closes. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling several times. But no luck. My notebook company directed me to download Windows XP mode for Windows 7. They gave me a link. But when I enter my version of Windows 7 (Home Premium-which came on my machine), I'm told I'm not eligible for the download.

I'm desperate to get my Dreamweaver working. I have lots to do on my husband's website. Can anyone help???? PLEASE???

Thanks

Sounds more like a computer issue than a Dreamweaver issue. Is everything compatible?

Adobe CS2 products, thus including DW8, are not compatible with Windows 7.

Either upgrade to at least Windows 7 Professional, so that you can use that Windows XP mode feature or upgrade DW8 to DW11 (CS5).
