I am looking for a web host and need some advice. I have searched too many reviews to count and so many of them seems to be the company just writing about their selves (if its positive) or the opposition (if it's negative).......or maybe i'm just to suspicious. So can anyone give me some advice on who to go with or how to tell the independent reviews from the fakes?

I've used The Small Business Authority (formerly CrystalTech) for 6+ years. http://webservices.thesba.com/

They have many plans to choose from and even offer a reseller discount program for designers. It's rare that they have any problems or downtime and on that rare occasion, they always seem to inform me before I even realize there is an issue. They also have 24 hour tech support by phone & chat which is so important and they are based in the United States.. not India.

And no, I do not work for them! I just really like them.

I'm using www.FatCow.com (http://www.FatCow.com) I used to use NetworkSolutions, but their control panel was difficult to navigate and there wasn't any "helpful" support if something wasn't working. FatCow's control panel is pretty straight forward and they also support Concrete5 CMS (although I pretty use DW CS5.5 to do everything). They don't have a number you can talk to a live person (big down side), but they do have LiveChat (not so good either). Other than trying to use one of their form generators (didn't work), the site is pretty straight forward as it gives you all the info you need to link up your FTP in the control panel on the right side. Something I could never find at NetworkSolutions. I checked out the above hosting company -- very busy webpage -- but liked the idea of a live 24 hour tech support and based in US. I'm keeping that site in my favorites, just in case. Thanks for the info WebGirly3!
