Hello,

I have launched a preliminary website for a client onto the net. You can see the problem at www.tabernacleofdavidwc.com. Although the slideshow in the page works fine locally on my computer, the slideshow does not work when launched live to the web. What do I need to change in my html code? Here is my code:

Hi this is probably a dumb question but have you uploaded the slideshow file(s) to your server?

Hi this is probably a dumb question but have you uploaded the slideshow file(s) to your server?

I don't think it's a dumb question at all the Movies directory doesn't seem to exist on the server.

This slide show "Demo 6.html" is definitely loaded to the server as well as the movie in proper swf format as "WheatonEdit.swf". Do I need to specify the route in the html mark-up to where the files are located online maybe?

Yes, you have to specify the path to the .swf file in the html (just like any other file). Right now you say it's at:

../Movies/DoremiSoft Studio/WheatonEditP-20110614-164244/WheatonEditP.swf

And it's not.

Point taken. But I wasn't worried about the movie at the moment. I was more worried about the slideshow html which isn't functioning on the index page. The iframe source is listed as "Demo 6.html" directly without any of the routing through the files on my computer. Does the html code for the iframe need to be routed through the files on the server as well, maybe?

When you link to a file (image, slide show, CSS, Javascript, any kind of file) you have to tell the server the path to the file.

If you have your site set up correctly in Dreamweaver, then the links will be created correctly and work when you test them from DW or on your server.
