Dreamweaver CS5 writes colors in shorthand i.e. like #CCC. How can I set DW to write the full hexadecimal value?
(I am no newbie to DW, I use it since v1...never had this problem before!)

can i ask why you would want to do this?

it's probably under the preferences (ctrl +u) in the code rewriting somewhere

I can read it better and I can copy and paste it into the Photoshop Color box... Of course I looked in the preferences, but there you can only turn off shorthand for CSS in general, but not for the colorpicker.

I would keep it shorthand if I were you... it's part of optimizing a website. It's unnecessary to have the other 3 hex values, because it's the same color... the hex pair is the same.

Your reference for in Photoshop:
RGB is RRGGBB so #30F is the same as #3300FF

It's not an option (short of digging into the code of the DW support files). It's been that way since at least CS4.
